Onnam Naal Ammene Lyrics Malayalam Translation

Those Ten Days
I missed my mother so much the first day
The next day I remembered her stories and cried
A wild cat in pursuit, a little bird in flight
I wake up crying the fourth day hearing the wild cat growl
The little wings were failing
The little legs were aching
Her stories gush down memory lane the fifth day
A castle, diamond laden, seven seas afar

A prince in his piazza, nearby lies his gown, ready to wear
To fill her up with rare imaginations
And fly away with her to that land of dreams
On an earth fertile with hopes, in search of love,
Fell a rain on the sixth day, as if by magic
Awaking all the plants, sprouting as the rose
The buds blossomed without a care, and
All the flowers became fruits

He arrived the seventh day, and to my amusement
He was no prince; there was no staff or a crown
Neither was there an ornamental gown
I slept, listening to his heartbeat, the next day,
Thundering in my ears
On the ninth day my dreams jumped out of my soul, took wings and fluttered around

I wish to see mother so much on the tenth day
I had so many new stories to tell her now.
